BIO

Garrett Gaudet is a Canadian educator, website designer, and electronic music content creator. He is best known as the creator and host of the EDM Weekly podcast, producing 360 episodes from 2013 to 2020.

With a passion for marketing, business, and design. Garrett launched the creative agency Strobe Creative. As the Creative Director of Strobe Creative, he works with brands to build websites and generate marketing strategies to elevate their business.

For the past 5 years, Garrett has been an instructor in Fanshawe College's Business Entrepreneurship program.

In his free time, Garrett likes to DJ, curate playlists, create content, and watch Formula 1 & Ajax Amsterdam.

In 2013, Garrett Gaudet launched the electronic music podcast EDM Weekly with Garrett Gaudet. As the host and resident DJ, Garrett transformed EDM Weekly into a media publication providing event coverage for international music festivals and events such as A State of Trance Festival, Kygo - Kids In Love Tour, Bud Light Dreams Festival, and Ever After Music Festival.

 

During the summer of 2018, EDM Weekly debuted on FM Radio for a summer residency on 102.7 Radio Waterloo. 

Garrett has worked with international electronic artists; Tchami, Vini Vici, Orjan Nilsen, MaRLo, Jorn van Deynhoven and more. 

On October 21st, 2020, the #1 music commentary podcast concluded after 360 episodes. In 2021, the podcast surpassed 500,000 downloads.

the ENTREPRENEUR

Garrett launched his first company EDM Weekly in 2013 as an electronic dance music podcast and media publication. EDM Weekly worked with artists, record labels, music festivals and PR teams to promote music from emerging and established talent. 

Through the years, Garrett has also worked on many entrepreneurial projects.

 

In 2017, Garrett developed a limited edition of Strobe Clothing t-shirts that were created with 100% of Canadian materials and produced in Oxford County

In 2018, Garrett Gaudet founded Strobe Creative as a Creative Agency that provided Website Design, Digital Marketing, Social Media and Graphic Design services for entrepreneurs/small businesses in Southwestern Ontario. As the agency evolved, Strobe transitioned away from social media to focus solely on Website Design services. Garrett works with clients from around the world to provide Website Design & Website Maintenance to their businesses, non-profit organizations and teams. 

 

 

During the Summer of 2021, Garrett teamed up with Camilo Galvis for their Snack the Globe project. A snack box that consisted of snacks that were produced in Oxford County as an initiative to promote local businesses during the pandemic.

the PROFESSOR

For the past 5 years, Garrett has been a Professor in Fanshawe College's Business Entrepreneurship & Management program teaching Digital Marketing & Website Design. 

Utilizing his experience and skillset, Garrett approaches teaching with a hands-on approach using modern technologies to engage with aspiring entrepreneurial business students. As the Creative Director with Strobe Creative, Garrett is able to stay current with relevant techniques and social media platforms to ensure the curriculum remains up to date.

 

Garrett works with 2nd-year students during their mentorship course as a mentor for aspiring entrepreneurs.

Since 2014, Garrett has designed websites and it all started with GarrettGaudet.com. A site that has seen many iterations that continue to evolve with Garrett's personal branding. 

 

Garrett began freelancing with website design in 2017 and started Strobe Creative in 2018. 

In 2019, Garrett's Strobe Creative joined the Wix Partner Program. 

During this time, Garrett has designed more than 100 websites and executed successful digital marketing campaigns for government organizations, and sports teams.

Building off the success of EDM Weekly, Garrett started DJing and developed his own DJ style with electronic music which he calls "the Spectrum of Dance". Listeners of the podcast may be familiar with his ability to take the audience on a journey by mixing different styles & tempos. 

Garrett enjoys playing progressive, house, tech-house, dance/pop, big room, trance & techno. 

During the Summer of 2022, Garrett played his first live DJ Gig at Downtown Woodstock's Summer Market Series.
